Default A-Rod

What can I say, he's on fire. He had another walk-off homer today so now he has 10 on the season and they have only played 14 games. He also has 26 RBIs. WOW

He can go .350, 60hr, and 150rbi's......but if he doesn't come through in October, he's out of New York over next winter.

He's definitely impressive: he's the REAL challenger to Hank Aaron. If anything, he looks bigger and stronger this year, definitely working very hard.

His post season is his only downfall. I think he might hit 800 homers once he retirers.

he has a long ways to go and a guy with a truck load of money( literaly ) and nothing to prove seldom come through.. even bonds didn't get seriouse about running down Aaron and Juicing up until Mark and sammy showed him up.. then he wanted it more then his own life!

A rod is a great hitter and a legend some day but talking about him running down Bonds or Arron is a long way off give it 10 more injury free years then lets see..

He's got 474 as of today.

He averages 40 a year for the next 10 years, he breaks it. He's not injury prone, and he's a fitness freak. I bet he averages 50 over the next five years and gets to the magic number a lot sooner.

I think he'll do it. Whether or not he'll ever be mister clutch in the playoffs is debatable. If he can take that final step; he'll definitely be one of the best of all time.

If he can average 30 homers for 10 years then he'll have the record.

I am a die hard Yankee fan....But they seem to choke as of lately in the playoffs...what is makin A-ROD so good is people are getting on base in front of him . This is a very long season and there are peaks and valleys.
In the play-off nobody got on base and if he or someone drove the ball well there were eather 2 outs or nobody on.

A-Rod is in a good hitting position with Giambi batting after him, so he should be getting good pitched to hit.

It's good to see another yankee fan on this site, your right, it's easier for him to hit Giambi after him.

BTW, he already stated publicly that he doesn't want to play past the age of 35; I don't think his ego could handle any decline in his skills or being forced to play a position he didn't want (as opposed to Griffey, who has handled losing center field more gracefully than I thought he would).

Then again, I've always been an advocate that he is cursed to never win a World Series as long as he took a contract where "money wasn't the issue". There is justice in the world.

It was a tribute to Red Auerbach.

Payrod's already looking good this year, but as others have mentioned...it's gonna be the playoffs that determines whether or not he's still a Spankee come next season. We'll see...
