Default Dave Johnson Chinook show

A great demo of sardine wrapped kwicky's last nite witn Scott on the hottamale Columbia show. Dave is a class guide who knows how! He outfished every other boat in the area. 5 keepers for 10? fish. His wife knows how to catch em too. My only question for David is whats up with all those right-handed crank reels? Scott had his special Banana plug LMAO.

SteelieSteve,

I want you to know that Dave Johnson spends more time making sure that little sardine fillet is "Perfect" before he slaps it on the plug, than Anyone I know. Maybe THAT is the secret to HIS success, far outfishing the boats next to him 3 to 1...I'm serious!

The Banana plug was "created" one evening when I saw it floating in the bathtub with my 3 year old. I thought it was kinda cool after the trebles were dangling off of it

Thanks for watching Steve....

Great show Scott. I watched carefully as David filleted the sardine. Very exacting to get it perfect. It was a very instructive demo by both David and his wife. Where do you get those huge sardines? I'm planning to hit the Columbia for the re-opener and would like to try the wrapped kwiky's.

I hesitate to swell David's head anymore than you guys already have, but what the heck. I've fished with him quite a few times, and he is an excellent guide, and a fine young man to boot. Rowing skills could use a little fine tuning though (hee hee hee) --seriously, for a good time, call Dave!

Now for sardines....great buy for quality bait at Oregon Bait Company. $2.99/lb. (about 6 fish). They work great. They're in Salem, on Wallace Road. # (503) 588-9676
Good Luck Salmon Slayers. I've had a room rented in Long Beach for the Razor Clam season for 3 months now. Unless they close it for domoic acid levels, I'll be digging while y'all are reeling!! Got no choice, as there are 4 other families involved. Crud, I'd rather be fishing!
