Crescent City, CA...Steelhead in May?

I'm going to be spending a few days in Crescent City California in mid May and would like to do some Steelhead fishing on the Smith or Klamath. From what I can gather on the net, the Steelhead run is similar to our runs on the coast...ends in March. The exception is on some coastal rivers in NW Oregon we still get a consistent run through April and into early May. Does anyone know if Steelhead will be available in May on the Smith or Klamath?

The Smith is closed to Steelhead fishing as of March 31. It is only open for Cutties. There would not be any steelhead activity in May, the Smith does not have a prominent Blue-back run.

The Klamath is open and there are Springers moving through the system from now through july. Send me some E-mail if are interested in further details.
