Sturgeon / Catfish

Has anyone ever tried to use bait that you would normally uses for catfish to catch sturgeon? What I am thinking of here is some of that stinking Powerbait stuff? Any Ideas?

Sounds like a good idea to me. They both have similiar habits and cohabitat the same areas in alot of cases. Let us know how you did if you decide to try it.

I'm sure if you were to head down south the die hard catfisherman wouldn't touch the powerbait stuff. Might want to look at fishing pages down south and see if there are any recipes for stinkbait.
Maybe add some ground up smelt or sumthin.
