What Was He Thinking
About 5:00 P.M Yesterday my son and I anchored up along Yucca Island up at Oregon City and started to fish. About 6:00 we see a Bayliner Trophy heading up river straight towards us. The guy pulls up next to me and says "Are you guys gonna be here for much longer, I want to drop my anchor right where you guys are fishing. I'm spending the night out here and You guys are parked right where my anchor needs to be". Keep in mind that I am the ONLY boat anchored along the island. I told him that I would be there till dark. He replied "Your gonna be here till dark?" and I said "Yes!!!!!!!! Till Dark!!!!!!!! He looked at me like I was some kind of idiot and took off down stream. In looking at the situation I think he was tring to anchor up right on the seam of the current at the top of the eddie at the bottom of the island. Great place to anchor, but if he was dropping his anchor where I was fishing, that would mean he was letting out well over 400 feet of anchor line in 12 feet of water.
