Default 2 lessons

This morning I saw 2 fish caught, and there might be a lesson in each of them.

The first was when a couple geese flew by and the boat next to me, pulls out a goose call and trys to turn them around. He no more than starts to call and his rod goes off. It was a summer steelhead. If a goose call brings steelhead, maybe a duck call would bring springers. Hmmmmmm...

The second fish was a whole new approach. I have been trying to get these springers to bite. Maybe I need to bite the fish. Sammy the sea lion had success with biting the fish today.

Maybe I will stick to what hasnt been working.

Hey Bait O' Eggs, you're onto something here. Last May, my pal Kelvin went to church with me to Halibut hill. He brought along a diaphragm turkey call. While we waited for the flatties to volunteer, he tried to give me a turkey calling lesson.

It was interrupted by a double hookup on Halibut........ Hmmmmmmmmmm .....

Goose = Steelhead
Duck = Springer
Turkey = Halibut
Coyote = ???
Elk = ???

Enquiring minds want to know.........

Guess you need to figure out a fish call BOE Another morning without a bite I know they are there the count is raising. Did you get crowded out of the spot again?

Steve, did not get crowded out today. Got there and a couple guys who I have not seen in the mornings were anchored up where we got crowded out of. They were the ones with the steelhead. They got up earlier than I did, so it was theres.

I was fishing to the outside of that and did get a good line bump. Fish was actually in the line for a few seconds, so I know they are there. Just not biting what I got to offer.

you'll need Mrs BOE's help for this one.....it's a sure fire way to change you're "luck" ....."GET LUCKY".....couldn't hurt...and besides at least with a smile on you're face it won't seam so bad .....Os

Drastic times call for Drastic measures you're starting to sound like McGeyvor

The call of nature brings the ducks in.

It has happened more times than I can remember. Your sitting there and nothing has been coming into the deeks for a while and you get out of the blind to relieve yourself. Then here they come all lock up and you have no gun and your hands are busy
