Default Santiam Springers

I have fished the main fork of the Santiam from the mouth to the confluence the past few years without a lot of success. Does anyone have any good information they could share? I don't get out a lot (2 year old & 10 month old), but would like to make a couple of productive runs. Anyone have a forcast for the run size? Thanx for your reply in advance.

Default Re: Santiam Springers

I fished the south fork on Saturday. I don't have a lot of knowledge about the river, but people were fishing for springers. Didn't see or hear of anyone catching any, and I was on the river ALL day. Had to talk to every boat to ask about some gear I'd left upstream. Half the boats had at least one fish (steelhead). No reports of any springers yet.
