Best spots within an hours drive from eugene...

I'm looking to find some new places to fish trout within an hours drive from eugene. I've fished the mckenzie river and junction city pond.

Any know of some spots that would be worth a days trip to fish from the bank?

We drove up to Lookout Point Res. today. Saw a lot of people fishing off the bank on both north and south side. Seemed the people on the bank were doing just about as well as those with a boat.

You might try Salt Creek and Salmon creek near Oakridge. Fall creek or hills creek too.

Don't forget the Willamette, it runs right through town. Best fishing for me is below the McKenzie confluence. Not always the best bank access though.
