Open Seats Round Three
OHH MY GOD Five more days, Well I'll throw out the invites once more. However, its gonna cost ya the donation of one K-14 Kwik fish in silver and green tiger stripe with a green/chartuse tail. O. K. Thats probably illegal and would require a guides licnse's which I don't have,(Of course I would let you bring in all the fish for that day) so I'll open it up for the first people who respond. Days to fish.
Wednesday afternoon starting at 12.
Thursday, All Day
Friday, All Day
Saturday. until 3 Unless the bite is on. (However I do know where one of these Kwik fish are right lipripper)
Anyway E:mail me and let the games begin. I think I averaged three fish per day in round two. Two fish in round one so lets go for four. I should have two to three seats available on each of these days. Things to bring rain gear, bait, and kwik fish I'll E:mail the colors when you respond, a good attitude and personality are a must, Yes, I do drink beer Not that much one or two I usually have a few extra along. Do not bring Tough line or brainded line. Its best to use my rods if you do not have a good quality salmon rod. Need 2 to 4 oz round lead balls and spreaders. And a package of liprippers Elk Pepperoni MMM MMM GOOD.

Re: Open Seats Round Three
Don't take that the wrong way we love tuff line for sturgies and bottom fishing in the ocean. we find that the stretch in mono helps in retaining those pesky long running salmon.

Re: Open Seats Round Three
Picture this, a 20+ lb king a short extra stout fiberglass rod with tough line. I'm bent over the boat net in hand fish turns to run drag not fast enought no stretch 30lb leader breaks. I get a deep six right between the eyes knocks me to my knees I think that it is the forth of July with all the stars that I'm seeing not to mention the blood. All everyone on the boat could say was wow what a big fish that was. Hey guys I'm bleeding, WOW what a big fish that was. Also I think that it is like a razor blade going through the water when it gets close to my mono.
Tough line not for salmonoids but look out for bottomfish, sturgies, and butts.
Tight mono lines
Dan!

Re: Open Seats Round Three
Hi Dan!
I am interested in going out Thurday And Friday. I sit next to Mr. Fisherman and he says to meet him at 3:45 Friday a.m. I do have a salmon pole but it is like 10 foot and has an old Zebco reel . I do have a Steelhead pole but, I don't think I want to use it for Springers. I only have 8lb. Maxima on my Curado reel.If I bring the Elk pepperoni and some other goodies ,do you think I might be able to go on Thursday and use 1 of your poles?I really would like to get a Hatchery fish to take home. Iwent out 2 weeks ago and was the only one to get a springer to the boat but too many fins. Please get back to me . Thanks, Tom

Re: Open Seats Round Three
Sounds pretty good to me. Dan hasn't responded ,but told Mr. Fisherman he had plenty of replies this a.m. . I am heding to G.I Joes after work and will try to load up on the Kwik -fish and Herring. Most stores are out of the purple Label though. I think I may have a place I might find them also.Sure hope to hear if I get to go Thursday though. Kinda want to bring one home to my wife. I will also get the spreaders and weight. Maybe even a 12 pack of Michelob beverage.Tight Lines

Re: Open Seats Round Three
Dan, I want to go!! I will not bring braided line again, I promise! No It wasn't my line that caused Dan to see stars but it might have been the culprit in causing Kenai to lose that airborne salmon when his leader parted 1/2 way up. The leader looked to be frayed as if it had been rubbing on something and we were both fishing the same side of the boat. E-mail me if any slots are still open, I can go any of those days. What about Kenai's elk pepperoni, it was GOOD.
