Default Lower Channel report

One take down and nothing else. The DFW rep said that this was by far the worst day he has counted. He said he counted more Sturgeon than springers. Can some of the veterans tell me when during the season you should stop trying to fish the lower channel? Saw two small fish boated all day.

We popped a releaser first thing yesterday morning, and saw two others caught. Real slow to say the least. I believe the reason is because the tangle tooth net experiment in the Columbia has taken its toll on keeper springers. Will be back out this morning, but hold very little hope of seeing things any different today. We normally fish until mid to late May in the channel, but know fish are still being caught into late June.
