Default Hog~Nastic Salmon fishing (Pic and Video)

Today was one of those days where things goes good...Great company, good equipment and no break downs. Headed to Monterey famous Hog bite off Pinos. Got into they right away...with first one on a clear FBR™ at 90 feet on the wire at 38/58......Shortly the second one came on a red FBR at 90 feet on the wire at 38/58. Had more take downs but nobody home.
Talked to Pistolero and told him it was flat as a pancake and the bite was on.......When he showed up the rain rolled in and then the wind started coming up and I bailed out for the launch....Just beating the crowd. LOL.

A couple pictures below and a short video of what action plus showing some of the ominous weather. Pistolero I hope you nailed them.

Some video of the action

Friend of mine was off Moss yesterday, 3 fish totalling 80 pounds. Yow, that is some big nookies for this time of year.

Opener was slow, but the fish that took the jackpot in the pool my friends do was bigger than 30.

I just love the erie haunting sound of the loon.....It's a real in the wild sound that gives you the feeling...you could be eaten by a bear any second now.

Kurt............ you are right some really nice hogs are coming out of there....reports of 30 plus and one report of a 36 pounder. Only 3 miles from Monterey Harbor. Beautiful scenery of the Monterey Coastline. I hope you are doing well.
