Default PGR mission for fallen local soldier Brett Walton

There will be 3 parts you can participate in honoring this fallen local hero

Details to follow. You don't have to ride a bike, you can salute roadside or come to an escort mission and hold a flag. Ive got plenty of American flags.

Thank you, Brett and family, for your sacrifice.
You will not be forgotten, ever.

From the PGR site:
Pfc Walton is due to arrive this Tuesday, 4/17/07 so this is a TENTATIVE intinerary for the escort to the funeral home in Beaverton. I'm assuming he'll arrive at Flightcraft, at PDX, at around 11:30 AM which is the usual time for Kallita Charters. I wanted to get this posted so everyone's aware that we'll be riding escort on that day. At this point we'll stage at Home Depot on Glen Widing Dr. at 10:30 AM. To get there from I-205 northbound, take the Airport Way East exit, go to the first stop light and make a left, Shari's Resteraunt is on the left. Follow Glen Widing around to Home Depot on the left. We'll be in the far left corner of the parking lot. Coming south on I-205, take the Airport exit. Turn left on Airport Way and come to the second stop light. Turn left at the light and follow around to Home Depot. On I-84 either direction, take the I-205 north exit and take the Airport Way East exit, left at the first light and back to Home Depot. Ride briefing will be at 10:50 with ksu at 11:00. There is the possibility that the flight may go into Hillsboro so be on your toes for changes to this schedule. The funeral is scheduled for Monday, 4/23/07 and details will be posted as we get the information.

UPDATE!

It's now confirmed that PFC Brett Walton will arrive at the Hillsboro Airport at 12:38 PM tomorrow, Tuesday 4/17/07. He will be arriving at Hillsboro Aviation, 3565 NE Cornell Rd. It's across the street from the Red Lion Hotel and has a big sign on the side of the building. We will be escorting PFC Walton to Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Home at 4675 SW Watson Ave in Beaverton. We won't be staging and riding in a group to Hillsboro Aviation rather, we will stage at Hillsboro Aviation at 11:00. The ride briefing will be at 11:25. The family is due to arrive at 11:45 and again the flight is due at 12:38. Rather than give directions here, as there are a myriad of ways to get ther, go to Mapquest or Yahoo maps and type in the address above and plot you own route there. I've been in touch with the Hillsboro PD and they say they will have motorcycles there to help us throu the gozillion stop lights to the funeral home so we WILL NOT have our own road guards. I'm looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible so we can do just honors this fallen hero.

I am assuming this will take the PGR and fallen Hero down TV hiway eastbound somewhere around 1 PM. Step outside, pull over, hold a flag, make a small "Thank You" sign, wave, smile, cry. Tell a fellow ifisher you appreciate the sacrifice of his friend.

Please show respect, and honor to a very brave man.

Thank You Brett, you made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety.

Thanks for posting all the info. The PGR does a great service for our fallen brothers.
Brett was a very close friend of mine. He loved his family with all of his heart. If ever a person left an impact in my life it was him. A great role model for any husband and father. He served with honor. He is a hero.

And we owe a Thanks to the fallen heros dad that lobbied and got these heros off of commercial flights, and onto chartered jets just for them, landing close to home is a great thing for the fallen, and their families.

Bretts plane arrived a little late during some passing storms today. He was honored by PGR, Military, family, fellow sodiers, and aviation employees.
My hat is off to the pilots for professionalism and respect.
At the last moment Q was given permission to photograph Bretts arrival, and the police and PGR escort along Hwy 26 and 217, and arrival at the funeral home. Pictures will follow in a few days.

Welcome home soldier, rest in peace, your watch is done.

Good words FROGGY, good words.

+++++++++++++++PHASE TWO MISSION FOR PFC BRETT A. WALTON+++++++++++++++

Funeral services for PFC Brett Walton will be Monday, 4/23/07, at 11:00 AM. They will be at Solid Rock Fellowship church at 10500 SW Nimbus in Tigard. Staging for this mission will be at 9:00 AM at Paradise Harley Davidson, 10770 SW Cascade Ave in Tigard. Ride briefing will be at 9:30 with ksu to go to the church at 9:45. We will set up the flag line by 10:00. After the service starts, I'll send all bikes except the missing man group to Willamette National Cematary to set up a flag line. The service is expected to take about two hours so figure about a 1:30 PM arrival at WNC. OF course, as in all missions, this is subject to change. If there is I'll inform all as soon as I find out. To get to Paradise HD coming south, head south on I-5 to HWY 217, go north on 217 to Greenburg Rd., at Greenburg turn left to Cascade, right on Cascade to Paradise. Traveling north on I-5, again take the Hwy 217 exit and go north. follow the above directions to Paradise. If you're traveling on Hwy 26, take the 217 exit and go to Greenburg Rd., turn right onto Greenburg to Cascade and make a right on Cascade to Paradise. From I-84 go west to I-5 southbound to Hwy 217 northbound and follow the above directions. I hope to see as many of you there as possible to honor this fallen hero

I will be at the services on Monday, please show respects if you can. A picture would mean an awful lot to a 5yr old girl who could view what you did for her dad for many tough years to come.

"Lindsay Walton hopes that people will remember Brett for his big heart, love for children and reading. She says Sydney is handling the situation as best as could be expected. "We still tell her, you know, Daddy died protecting us and doing what he was asked to do."
