Gag Rod

A few weeks ago, I found out that a fishing buddy of HiTekRdNek has a aversion to the color pink - like won't touch a pink corkie for steelhead, won't touch a pink Koke lure and I hear he won't pick up a beer in a pink cozy (have not tried that one yet, but he gets real torked when you start talking anything pink - kind fun to pull his chain.

Anyhow, we went and made a withdrawl from the Blank Bank at Freakwaters house - you guessed it a PINK 7' Chinese E-Glass 12-25 rod. When Freakwater told me about those blanks I really wasn't interested. But when we found out about the aversion to pink, well we just had to.

Now I've been known to play racquetball with Pink racquets, and pink string (Susan B Komen fund raiser that Ektelon does - all proceeds from the racquets and string go to breast cancer research), so tying up a pink rod - only seemed kind of natural

We can only image the look on Bob's face come this summer with a Tuner screaming line off the pinky and handing it off - my bet is he'll be asking for the sea biscuit to ride home on.

Ya Ron, I got to get that pink cozie - I've already got it set up with his bar tender. I'm thinking pink canon balls for the down rigger at Odell in a couple weeks and pink line on the reel. And we even picked up a pack of pink TC100 Sevenstrand cloans.

No way Ted the Barbie sticker is a better idea.

A few years ago a foreman was riding this apprentice really hard and they were friends but the Foreman took things to far most times. Well the apprentice had enough and the Foreman went on a one week vacation, so the apprentice took his tool box home and painted all his tools Pink and purple. Also put barbie stickers on every tool. When the Foreman got back he didn't notice as he hardly ever used his tools. Well one day his boss told him to meet him on another job so the foreman showed up and when he opened his tool box in front of the main boss, well BOY WAS HE SURPRIZED............................. By the way I was not the foreman or the apprentice.

OK, we got him on film with the dreaded PINKY in his hands. Clearing lines on the Dance Floor. Funny thing was he was complaining more about the left handed reel than the flaming fishing pole.
