Was there as well from about 9 a.m. No fish for me. Witnessed 11 fish caught and probably saw 25 or so hanging off boats. Bubble gum pink or flourescent orange plugs; mag warts, tadpollys, and even smaller warts were the ticket. Saw two fish taken by guys using those plastic fish flashers (triangle shaped with prism tape - red ), one guy had two strung together. Even though there were lots of boats everyone was being cool, didn't see anyone get bent out of shape all day long!
Did get there in time to see the sheriff and his tow truck posse hauling away rigs, be careful where you park and bring your hiking boots! Also spoke to a fella who had been ticketed $400 the day before for fishing outside the deadline. Claims to have been inside the bouys but was told by the officer that the markers on shore are what matter, not the bouys.
There were two boats that appeared to be trolling out in the columbia a couple hundred yards. Any ideas on what that might be about?
