Default Anyone know what this is?????

I found this bug in my bathroom. I cannot imagine what it was surviving on in our home, as we are clean FREAKS!!!!!
Help me identify it, please......

This will freak you out a little ... but it's actually called a pseudoscorpion. They are harmless. Check them out HERE.

I know there are false scorpians in central Oregon. I think they are related to spiders. That is what it loos like to me. I saw one many years back at a place in Sunriver. Check out this link...

Found it in the bathroom huh, before or after you cleaned you ears?

After the bedbugs post, the pic above and Petes thoughtful boogieman link, Ill be sleepin with the lights on tonight...in a wetsuit.

exactly right Pete. Saw some of these in a cave down at Malhuer field station during my college years. Creepy little harmless critters. Not fun to find in your bed though.

yup its a psuedoscorpion. They are very common in leaf litter/forest litter.

I found one of these a year or so ago in a chanterelle, and Fish_N_Russ was quick on the draw to identify it.

Yep the problem with the harmless pseudoscorps is that where you see one, there are a quadzillion of them behind the walls and under the cabinets just waiting for the lights to go out....
