Default MY FIRST POST
BEEN ENJOYING AND LEARNING FROM THIS SITE FOR 6 MONTHS AND THOUGHT I WOULD FINALLY HOP IN ....SO I HAVE SOME CATCHING UP TO DO ...I OWN A 19' NORTH RIVER AND A 14' HOME MADE ALUM. DRIFT BOAT ...FISH THE NESTUCCA IN THE WINTER THRU MARCH W/ PINK BIRDIES AND ORANGE YARN ...LANDED SPRINGERS IN THE COLUMBIA W/ HERRING AND QUIK FISH ...LOST TWO AT OC THE OTHER DAY ON PINK PRAWNS/GREEN BLADES ..SEAL TOOK ONE OF THEM ...STEELIES IN THE SANTIAMS WITH ORANGE CORKIES
/EGGS ...MY FAVORITE PLACE TO FISH IS HERE IN SALEM FOR SPRINGERS ...CAUGHT THE FIRST ONE UP HERE APR 22 LAST YEAR ...GOT HOT IN EARLY MAY ...ANCHOR IN 4-6 FT WITH MY "LUCKY SPINNER " BEEN OUT TWICE THIS YEAR AND MOSS IS A PROBLEM ALREADY ...MAY MAKE IT A BUST UP HERE THIS YEAR ....THX FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE ...SEE YA AROUND ...SWAMPY

Welcome swampy!!

I too live in Salem. I have been hankerin' to try springer fishing around this area for some time. A lot closer to home then Coon Island. I would very grateful for any tips, or reports on success from time to time.
