That's great Jennie! Now you got that tune stuck in my head as well! I sure hope they sing that one in church this morning because I'm going to look really dumb humming that while everyone is singing something else.

Re: He is risen!
"O may I continually say, more from my heart than from my lips, Jesus my Lord, and partake of thy celestial banquet, with all that effusion of grace and fullness of a new life, which is the fruit of thy glorious resurrection."
Amen.

Re: He is risen!
I was reading these posts.... and they are wonderful! However, as I read, I thought, what does this mean to you everyday, not just the cliche' answers, but what does it mean today, tomorrow at work, and next week, you know, real heart stuff!

For those who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior it means everything, twisterme.
Every heart hungers for more than this mortal life offers. Christ's victory over sin and death provides us with a wonderful source of personal peace, optimism, and spiritual betterment. We live in a world of pain, disease, suffering, and injustice. All of this caused by man's own corruption and sin beginning with Adam.
As Christians, we know that no matter what happens to us in this life, whatever problems and hardships we encounter, that our faith in Jesus will will give us everlasting life with Him in heaven. God love us and is always faithful to His word.

Re: He is risen!
Matthew 28:1-7
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!

It isn't Easter anymore, but every day is Easter to those who know Christ. I love Christmas, too!

In some Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Christian faith traditions, Easter(tide) lasts a minimum of fifty days until at least Pentecost Sunday.
Your point that in a very true sense "every day is Easter to those who know Christ" is well taken.
