Where do you go for Your favorite Brew
Well if your looking for a place to grab a cold one while your in Salem
Ya need to go in and try these beers out at these places.
there some great micro beer's
THOMPSON BREWERY Salem
they have a Brew called Ranch House Red on there guest handle
Served with a smart cap of head that trailed soft sheet lacing, Ranch House has an intriguing taste platform with echoes of the house yeast strain and a light vanilla-almond flavor. Its spiced malt aroma and taste are at once puzzling and captivating, with dark, caramel maltiness, and a distant hint of peat. Bittering closes the deal, but the hops eagerly let the malts carry the day. Ranch House is dark garnet color though not especially red. It is both full-bodied, yet slightly terse in the mouth.
Pink Elephant on Lancaster In Salem
they have a brew from Klamath Basin Brewery called Crystal springs IPA
The Brick Downtown Salem
they have a Brew called Celtic Copper from Racoon Lodge brewing in Beaverton
This ale has a deep mahogany hue that foretells of its rich roasted malt flavor. Imported English hops are added late in the brewing, to balance and augment the big malt profile
Leftys On State Street Salem
they also have a brew from the Klamath basin line up called Cabin Fever Stout
Pours a nice dark black color, with a sizable dark tan head.
Aromas are of dark roasted coffee, and a bit of bakers chocolate.
Flavors are nice, beer comes across as being slightly sweet. There is a general all around creamy dark chocolate quality. The finish is a bit bitter, and coffee like.
Mouthfeel is quite nice. Very full flavored beer.
This one was a pleasant surprise. A very tasty and drinkable stout.
Washington Street pub? in Dallas
they also have a brew from the Klamath Basin line called Golden AleThis is Klamath Basin’s flagship beer and I’m glad to see it’s improved somewhat since KBB opened the doors to its new brewpub. The old Crater Lake Golden needed some polish. The new Golden has an inviting malt aroma with good malt character and English style bittering. I’d call this more of a pale ale than a golden as it's actually dark amber, but I won’t split hairs on the designation. Crater Lake has perky carbonation, ghostly lacing, and a slight vanilla flavor that echoes the presence of the house yeast strain. Recommended.
Copper Johns Down Town Salem
has another flavor from Klamath Basin called
Hogsback Hefeweizen. A very smart hefeweizen that arrives with a wedge of orange and begs for a food accompaniment. It is an orange-brown, hazy sunset color with clean flavor lines and all appropriate notes of banana and clove. The taste is fresh, hearty, and companionable. Crisp, zesty, and a definite winner.
Pine Street Pub on Pine st in Salem
they have the Fish Brewing Amber Ale that was Created in keeping with the Cascadian commitment to the protection of natural water resources, this ale is brewed with malted barley and hops grown and processed under conditions certified organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the USDA. Certified Organic Amber Ale is a medium-bodied beer with an appealing deep amber hue. The organic pale, Munich, and crystal malts create a gentle sweet character that is difficult to resist. From organic Hallertauer hops come a zesty flavor and aroma that beautifully balance Organic Amber’s malt character.
Get in and try them out you will be back for more

Re: Where do you go for Your favorite Brew
FYI Brother wolf. All beers can be called organic even if they use hops that are sprayed with all kinds of chemicals because of the small amount they use. You are allowed a certain %.

USDA organic is 95% by weight of ingredients. So what you say is true.
BTW water is not an ingredient
Organic malt has come a long way in the recent past, but the organic hops are still lagging far behind the conventional ones.

OK, you guys are killing me. As a true lover of beer, is 8:18 A.M. too early to crack one open. What is that saying; "It's five-o-clock somewhere!"

Re: Where do you go for Your favorite Brew
Its never too early - er well - perspective I guess. @ 8:00am it is happy hour in most of Europe. Think I'll join my friends in Barcelona and have a cold one.
As far as where I go, first stop is the garage (Broken Halo) or some Fridays, I'm #1 at the end of the bar @ John Barleycorns - kind of goes like this "So if you want my address its #1 at the end of the bar, where I sit with the broken angles clutching at straws and nursing our scars"

The Edgefield for their Black Rabbit Porter. When the waitress brings me the first one I tell her to get me another because this one will be gone before she can get back.

Re: Where do you go for Your favorite Brew
My garage. I have many gold medals for my home brewed beer.
Otherwise, there's no such place as a favorite pub unless I list the State of Oregon.
