Default Hatchery Steelhead PIC

Here is a memorable fish that jumped 8 times and took 5 or six long runs before being landed. He was released to be caught another day.

I am guessing it was a broodstock fish. We landed a few driftfishing and decided to throw some plugs out and whamo! I guess the big bucks like pink!

Yeah. Those bass you picked up today were sweet.

They bit.

Your client was definately stoked, an rightfully so.

Guess we should've done one of those "When Guides Collide" posts for todays trip.

Ready to pound some carp?

Chris

Green Pirate:
"Here is a memorable fish that jumped 8 times and took 5 or six long runs before being landed"

How can it be? Everyone knows that hatchery fish are comparatively worthless. Not fit to inhabit the same river as "natives"!

OK I'm through with the rant.

Nice fish, thanks for releasing it.

Corkyking,

As stated, not just a hatchery fish...a broodstock hatchery fish. Not fit to be in the same waters as the natives? Why sure they are...Same fish!

Gone Fishin'
You can tell it's a broodstock from a photo?
The fella that caught it said that he "guessed" it was.
I'm obviously in need of instruction.
