Any Scrap Metal Dealers?

I am in the process of building a new home and garage. But to make room for the new buildings, I have to get rid of one old garage.

My old garage as you can see is a old gas station building. The old guy we bought this place from 10 years ago simply tore down a old gas station, and bolted it back together out here in Warren.

I have a contractor who can tear this down and cut it up in to managable pieces. Problem is, they want to charge me by the ton to haul it away. My contractor recomended I find a scrap metal dealer to haul it away.

The ******** are stealing metal all over the place and selling it. If someone wants to haul this thing away for the metal, they can have it. we will have it on the ground in a couple of weeks. There has to be a fair amount of money in scrap to be made.

I was going to say the ******** would take care of it. Spay a few pieces copper color, they will think is is sheets of copper.

Big John is on East Columbia in Scappoose on the right about half a mile off HWY 30. I think he has an ad in the paper, he hauls scrap to Portland. The scrap value should have him covered, worth asking him. He's a long standing member of our community.

He's pretty much right across from the deputies house, (you will see sherriff's rigs everywhere)

Really not to far from the truth. I just hauled in some old wire and anchors from a hop yard I took down last fall and got $110.00 a ton for it! (Most money I have made on a hop yard in the past 10 years!) You shouldn't have to pay anybody to take it down and cut it up. Most scrap guys will do it free for the metal. Jeff

They sure will, I had a company in Albany scrap out a commercial building last month...they were beating down my door for the opportunity.

I sure had a smile on my face when they paid me for the scrap the next day not to mention the joy I had not supporting the meth heads any more

They could no longer steal what was no longer there then I crushed the building....happy day it was
