What a great opportunity to give back to nature and the outdoor community. I wish I was in the state to help.

Visited the Project Site near Detroit on Friday the 13th. The good news is we have some great areas to work on and saw 8-10 deer using the areas. None had hair loss and that is good last week a friend was up there and saw two on FS 46 with it.

We will need ATV's with or without spreders on them so if you are interested there is a lot of work to do on the several meadows. We have four pallets of bird houses (low priority) to put up and there is lots of bushes that need to be cut back to make them sprout new growth. The meadows have been used this winter all the old grass is gone and the glover also. Did not see any bear sign yet in the meadows we have always seen it in the past. The Bio said about another two weeks to see use by bears the grass is just not up enough yet.

Campsites we saw were a mess a lot of trash that needs to be pickup.

We will be using the FS's new boat to move an ATV or two across the lake to do some work. Dinner on Satruday is provided and free camping at the Fox Creek Group Camp site about 10 miles out of Detroit on FS road 46.

We must have the people signed up so we know howmany meals to provide.

Middle Valley Crawlers have about 25 coming also and they are useful in hauling fertilizer and other things into rough areas.

We have eight tons of fertilizer to spread. If you have a small four wheel tractor with a spread that can be used in the flat areas.

Will be picking up about 200 cedar trees to be planted.

Come up Friday moring and meet us at the campsite if you want to help prepositon stuff.

Also bring a 12' latter to use for the bird houses if you are interested in doing that.
