Default any spots for bottomfish out of florance

Does anyone know of spots close to florance for lings/rockfish or should I just keep truckin to newport

Keep truckin' north or south. Nothing in close near Florence.

I live here and go to Newport for lings.....

What ever happened to the Concrete (old tires??) they were barging out and dumping in 130 feet of water off Siuslaw Bar Somewhere to start an artificial reef ?

Up by the Sea lion Cave's is where the Reef's start, & north from there. South It's mostly sandy bottom til past Charleston.

RD there are very few if any of the concrete tiles left that they tried.

Too small, or just too much current.

I wish they had some reefs here close...

The Sandman idea would have worked ....everything they dropped was just too small I think.

oh-well, wishfull thinking I guess, last year I saw some guys come in at winchester bay with halibut, they said they went out 30 mi. , do any of you have those numbers and are there any inside spots out of winchester?

If you're not familiar with this website (Maptech), you simply run the cursor over the spot and it gives you the numbers.

We hooked several halibut while ling fishing on the outer (Perpetua) high spot.

The spot guys fish halibut from Winchester is to the SW of you. I'll pm you the appx. numbers of that spot.
