I wish! Dehydration is when you don't have enough water in your body, right? Whats it called when you don't have enough salt?

hardwood, it's called Hyponatremia, and I think there's a lot of it going around.

Thanks Paddler! Great to know the name of the condition. For me, it's not only a lack of salt in the veins, I think it's also a lack in the soul. I feel much better when I get at least a weekly dose. Three days a week would be about right. Knowing I can't get that year around, I gotta build up the concentration when the weather permits!

To get back to the topic of this thread, yeah, maybe!

Hello Samben, Yes, probably hit the south end of South Reef on the way first, & drop the Crab pot's off in the general area also. How about you?

Ken, I havent really fished Seal Rock, fished the Ranch a bunch and the Stonewall half a dozen times, and the light house, but never Seal.
Watching the weather, Depoe being closer and less people always prefer to launch there.
Hadnt really given much thought to throwing pots maybe I will rig up a couple.

Not sure yet
out of depoe throw pots near siletz and bottom fish
out of Newport and do a little exploratory fishing.

If I head out of newport I will give ya a call.

78 or 79 cant remember.(allzheimer's)

Fresh back from Lincoln City and this AM no wind and swell was probably 4-6 from looking at the boats just off shore - few sucker holes around yesterday was a really nice afternoon at the beach.

Since I'll be stuck on the courts Sunday AM - you guys will kill them no doubt - too many things to get done before regionals, new mixed doubles partner (focus on the ball, focus on the ball ) to get in sync with - took an Open/A men's team to beat us last weekend and only by 3, prototype racquets to stress test and prototype balls to play with. So you guys should have a nearly flat ocean - good luck and bring us back some stories

Just back from a week in the desert (AZ), need a salt fix bad. Can't remember how many weeks it's been.......

I'll be head'n out of Charleston at first light on Sunday for a look see. Since it will be closed Sunday (4/1) outside of the 40 line, will be heading South to Simpson reef (~3 miles) or Glass House (~6 miles), conditions permitting. VHF ch. 19. Drop me a PM if you want to run wing and learn about this area

Had a good day out of the CR - south jetty.

Ran down to the light house, but spotty there at best. Good ling bite on the sunken jetty on the way back.

We fished to the South of Coos Bay today, very choppy. Didn't hit much over 10 on the run back in Ended the day with 6 Lings (limit) and 6 Blacks, ~4 Lings thrown back. Lots of nice sized Blacks down there, a guy could catch as many as he cared to clean.

The crabbing SUCKED, 6 pots for a 4 hr soak and NADA . I don't think I'll bother again 'til the fall

Kinda slow in the Seal Rocks area today, we scratched up 2 small Lings, 1 Cabezone, 1 Greenling, & 3 Black Rockfish, + 6 Crab, was all we managed today. Altho slow, it felt great to get out again.

Check out the Post for Newport Sunday Down South, we went out Sat. got a limit of Lings and then went out about Noon Sunday in a Friends boat and we got 6 Lings and 5 Misc in 2 hours, it was nice going but a little wet coming in, no top on a 16 foot Angler, hope everyone got a chance to fish. Talked to one of the local charters and he fished all day friday with five people for Chinook but no luck.............Ray

"The Dance Floor" Left Depoe at 0730 and headed North
Droped the crab pots just south of the Siletz River and headed even further North
Fished the kelp for one cabby and one black plus 3 very small lings for almost 2 hours of fishing
So then we went on the hunt for structure but the wind and drift made it very hard to stay on the fish
We managed one keeper ling for a total of 3 fish kept 3 released
Pulled the pots with 5 crab for 5 pots 2 of which came up empty and 1 female busting with eggs 4 keepers and no under sized

It was a tough day for me cause I left my meds at home and suffered for it

But I would do it all over again

We had a great day. No fish for me.

Thanks Hank for the lessons.

And thank you Pilar for letting me know last year that allot could be learned in close. Bottom fishing and crabbing.
The boat ran flawless and didn't break anything. A good day in all.
