Coastal "Ladies by 10" Chrome!! (Pictures)
Frogpond and I headed over to the coast this morning to try to catch some steelies.
Here is my first chrome hen that I caught at the second hole we fished on a custom "sunrise" corky drifted with shrimp caught on my first cast.
Here is the second chrome hen I got just before 10:00 drifting a custom Orange and Pink glo-glow with shrimp. I "dough balled" one 15 minutes earlier. It was pretty crowded for a week day and I saw a few chromers caught. The water is dropping extremely fast and I would expect "super" crowds this weekend and low water conditions.
Here are both of these bright "Ladies" together.
I feel really fortunate to have such quality fishing just minutes away from school. Even though I live in Alaska and everyone raves about he fishing up there, I think alot of people take for granted just how good of fishing there is right here in your backyard in the Northwest.

Ty-
you've outdone yourself once again.
Hey, could you describe to us (with pics) just how you fill the tubing (sinker rigs) with shot?

Good Job Ty,
Glad to see someone is defying the educational system. I've been roped into classes all week. If you're out there somewhere tomorrow, I may see ya. Keep whackin'em!

Nice fish, Ty. You obviously have the game dialed in there.
I notice the max clip on one, but not the other. What's the story with those again, anyone? I recall seeing something before about brood years, but judging from the size they both look to be the same age class.

Reminds me why I hate seeing nice weather outside when I'm stuck inside working.
Nice fish bud!

Re: Coastal "Ladies by 10" Chrome!! (Pictures)
Thanks fer all the positive feedback guys.....
Really all u have to do is get out there....
I just bought the new STS magazine and highly recomend the the articles about steelhead fishing. One article is by Scott Haugen and the other is by Tim Rumlow.
There have been alot of guys asking me why I am so successful, what am I doin different, where am I fishing, ect....
READ these articles and take them to heart. STS is awsome and is one of the best educational tools out there for fisherman like us!
Hats off to Nick and Frank Amato.......
