Default What is the best muzzel loader unit for bull elk

I am currious what is the best unit for bull elk is there a semi trophy hunt for ML in Oregon.

If you're lucky enough to draw special permits in WA, there are some good hunts... But then again if your like my bro-in-law you could just walk up onto one of these....

They kill a few decent bulls during the E. Grant muzzleloader hunt now and then. Last year the bulls were still bugling during the first rifle hunt, so I imagine it was a nice hunt in mid October.

I've hunted the EGrant. It was pleasant in Mid October; listened to the World Series on radio. There probably are some big bulls esp. in the Strawberries. I hunted the perimeter and did not get close except I had four come right up to my camp only to scent and barrel back into the canyon, too steep.

I hear ya I got a bunch of points as well. I'll keep them till billys out of school then we will do a big rifle hunt some where.
