Default Anyone have an Ebay Store?

Im trying to decide whether I should try and make a simple website with paypal checkout, or just sign up for an Ebay Store. The costs are pretty comparable, but Ebay charges 10% for things you sell in your store.......but then again you dont have to make a website and buy space etc.
Just wondering if anyone has had the same thoughts.

A simple website is best i think. As you can take a simple college class on website devolpment and then tweak it the way you want to. The only down side is you might miss out on lots of potential buyers because e-bay is so vast.

So on second thought. E-bay will most likley introduce you to loads of potential customers. Just a matter if YOU can take that 10% hit. Also, dosent pay pal still take its fee as well???

godaddy.com com has a tool called quick shopping cart that I have used in the past. Depending on your needs, it costs about $15 a month, you can easily add paypal, credit card merchant accounts, shipping etc. It also interfaces with ebay if you want to use them.

$15/month for a shopping cart site is a bargain if you have a lot to sell. For and Ebay store, Ebay takes a cut and so does paypal. However, with Ebay, you're more likely to reach a larger consumer pool than with a web site. Once your web site is built, you have to direct people to it. Just a thought.
