we didn't get anything I'd think of keeping or eating... or even smoking for that matter. Did see a couple (2) nice ones caught. Lots of the recycled fish with tags and opercle punches...and really soft bellies and brown sides. They were fun to catch though...

Once you hit the magic number 5 on the north fork the odfw sugests that you have graduated from the North and hopes you move down to the main stream to fish.

There are good numbers of fish through the length of the river.

Lots of fish around, they just don't seem to want to take anything. I hooked 5 or 6 but only brought one home as the rest were pretty dark. I fished from 8am to about 1pm, all my fish were hooked in about an hour period late in my day. Peach seemed to be the color today for some reason. Stopped by the hatchery hole for a minute and heard of only a few caught. "Shoulda been here yesterday" was the phrase of the day.

You guys are right 30% are bright and not spiting eggs 70% are dark I did get two crome hens mon and that 36 inch crome hen on tue.The water was much higher and on the drop. the water is much lower now on nf. still some fresh fish around.caught alot of broodstock fish in dec,jan might start slowing down on the number of fish pushing though with the rain.

I hooked 17 Wed, you know where, and all but 5 were crab bait grade. I did bring home a 37" chrome hen with a quart and a half of eggs in her. My best fish of the year and a couple pounds heavier than the ones you had last time I saw you over there.
