Finally Got The Hog!!!!
On camera that is...Well, after about a month and a half of trying to get these suckers here is what the big ol'boar looks like..This is as good as any of the hogs i've killed in California. Nobody has ever seen this one or any others in daylight hours around here. One of the local ranchers was willing to bet his ranch that wasn't pig rooting...They had me cracking up..
Last week, i had them in front of my other camera, but it had died on me without knowing it. I about broke that thing into a million pieces when i realized what happened. Anyway, this is the coolest picture i've ever got. Now it's time to get him killed...Hope you enjoy what an OREGON hog looks like....

It may take a bit, but he will get whacked...I might have to sit a tree stand all night if he continues to come back to this area...Now, it's time concentrate on another place to get those pics as well...

We got pigs around here I'm guessing you are around the southern part of Oregon. I wonder if we have them in the Northwest. is there a season for them. I would not mind getting some

I've heard of a couple areas up north that have some sign of hogs. There is no season on them and you can blast or arrow at any time..

YEA Got the Vermon!!!.. Get those things I told yea about With shelter!! Now, they will start feeding in a pattern.. KILL Them all.. Bring Ammo can..
The ones up north are eradicated by the forest service. BUT if they are spotted, Ranchers of that location will call Me ASAp. nice fat hog too. |

I started working on a couple of those gizmos the other day..I don't really want to put up a shelter, so i will just bait the ground until the weather gets a little nicer...Those are going to work sweet though...

Excellent Job getting the photos Jody. So, are you going to tell the rancher you just won his ranch. Documenting these hogs on your trail cam may prove to be a good tool for gaining hunting access on other surrounding properties. Again, nice job. Wheels.

 Take a bucket full of corn and pineapple jucie let it sit for about 5 days then take it out and place unter tree stand remove lid and let the killing begin

I'm going to see if i can keep them coming to corn in the same area. There seems to be a couple different groups of them lurking around different places around here. I was very delighted to get this picture though.. I've been on several hog hunts down south and back east, and this is a stud. Hopefully i can get an arrow in him before long....We'll see though...

I was going to head up after him last night, but you couldn't see thirtly feet due to the fog and rain. I'll be up there this afternoon though.

We always used corn, buttermilk, and some sort of berry Jello mixed in. They also make some stuff called Hog Wild that works well.

Chug had a pretty good idea on an easy feeder. A buddy and i are going to get this on video if we can get them coming back to the same area. I've put more effort into getting a pic of this darn pig then i have of any animal in my life...Now it's time to whack him...

Hey, Mark and I can stand guard also with arrows nocked if you need some backup!! I hunted a ranch down there a few years ago that those buggers destroyed his water troughs and springs on his property.

Seems like they get pretty nasty in a hurry in regards to damaging ground. However, since there aren't many around, they don't do a ton of damage. Talked to another guy yesterday that has been seeing sign of them in another area that i need to go explore. Checking the camera this afternoon to see if he or others have been back....
