Ya I had to laugh a bit at that too, but it was a pretty sweet video. And that show is always entertaining.

Hey, I own an AK in 308 Win. They really do exist!
Here is my plain jane gun:
A lot of owners have customized the Saiga .308 Win rifle, like these guns below:

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
I have always thought that the people that respond to whale strandings should have one of these. They use hundreds of dollars worth of drugs to euthanize these things when they could easily do the same job with a single shot from the BMG 50 cal...

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
I saw the movie Shooter tonight. The audience was greatly impressed with the performance of the M107 (or USMC version) in the film. Wish there could have been more of it!

Reach out, reach out and touch some one....
That was what my Sniper buddies used to say about that weapon. If you can see it, you can hit it

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
Check out the Barrett 99-416. Saw a program on TV. Two snipers, one active and one retired, shooting side by side. One shooting the 50 and the other shooting the 416. They were shooting at 2500 yards!!! It was very impressive.

I saw that show, I think it was 'future weapons" on discovery.
The discovery channel, I used to call it the "guns and nature channel".

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
I just recieved a video of Canadians in Afghanistan breaking the longest confired sniper kill record....2400 meters.
Its about a minute long and shot through a spotting scope of 3 kills and rather graphic and incredible.....just like some of the sage rat videos. Not for the squeemish...
If anyone wants it, PM me and Ill send it......for those of you sick minded individuals like myself......LOL

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
Not sure if the video is of this but the longest confirmed sniper kill was made by a Canadian with a .50 cal but it wasn't a Barrett it was a TAC-50:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Furlong
The Canadian snipers don't use the Barrett they use the McMillan TAC-50.

Re: Ohhhh I want one Barrett M107 .50 caliber
There is a video floating around on the net claiming to be footage of sniper shots in Afghanistan. The bodies you see flying apart after the shot are those of rock chucks....not terrorists. They stole the video off a varmint hunting web site.
