Default Willy report (pics)

After working on the boat all morning in the pouring rain the sun starting cracking so I decided to launch the boat at 3:00 out of Wallace.

I caught and released 3 smallies dshotting plastics. I had to deadstick it but they would pick it up pretty good. I lost 1 fish and had another bite.

Here is a pair of smallies

Here is a tripple.

It was nice to catch my first bass of the year.

The water was 49 degrees and very stained. The good news is there was no debris floating down the river at all.

Thanks Clayton! I've been watching the Willy in Albany and it looks to dirty to fish still. It is probably a little cleaner after the Santiam dumps into it. I'm getting sick of sitting inside, not fishing. Been waiting for some reports like this one.

Way to go!

Good job Clayton. Those fish looked much nicer in person. We might need to give Jim some camera lessons.

It is nice to see the rive coming alive. Nice job, and it is time for me to get out on the water.

hey crease,

were these fish in the current?

what kind of depth were you in?

Nice fish.

Except for the motor, that boat looks exactly like mine. I have a Crestliner 16.5 Fish Eagle.

Hey Joe, we better hit the River soon!

Clayton- Nice fish and post. You have slimmed down some, good job. This is just 1 of many posts you will have this year for this area. Still looking to hook up and go sometime. My invite is still open to you as well, just need to get some time off during the week. Good Job

Water looked great today a little clearer than yesterday. I was planning on fishing but when I launched the boat I looked in my rear view mirror and saw my wheel about to fall off. I had to jack it up on the ramp in the water and slide the wheel up on the spindle and then nurse it up the ramp.

I guess it was better happening there than on a main street.

I spent all day running around town finding a hub. Finally got one. I found out Salem stinks when it comes to any Marine stuff.

This time of year it is really not problem. Later as the water starts going down it does get skinny in places.
