Time to Start a New Lake Temps Thread!
It's that time of year again! Water temps will really influence fish positioning and activity levels. So, let's start a new water temps thread. I'm really interested in hearing what temps the lakes are at (like Hagg, Cottage Grove, etc.). I've been tracking the lower Willamette, which, as of 3/3/07, is still struggling to get out of the lower 40's. So, if you have some "fairly" accurate temps, go 'head and post. Thx!!!

Columbia River: www.cbr.washington.edu/dart/river.html
Choose "Temperature (WQM)" form the left drop-down menu, "2007" from the middle one, and the location from the right one. Then cllick "Begin Run."
This has some Columbia temps. also: http://or.water.usgs.gov/projs_dir/pn307.tdg/
Scroll all the way down and choose "3 days." Only some of them have temp. data.
Valley ponds were in the low 50's today and the bass were biting.

Does anyone know any websites where you can find the temps for lake washington or lake sammamish. I know the river temp sites, but the lakes are tough to find. thanks

There is a website, I was looking myself. I know the news posts them, but who watches the news anyways?

Re: Time to Start a New Lake Temps Thread!
If you try to use the metrokc page for lake wash temp data, they are usually a month or two behind - I belive the last recorded date was somewhere in January (they have no real-time buoys out there anymore due to vandalism).

Chad: Here's another helpful site. It is a bummer to hear that the realtime info is no longer available!

Willamette falls temp
I hope this works. I copied it from another discussion group:
http://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish_counts/Willam.htm
Looks like Willamette water temperatire is ~47 degrees now at the falls. I was on the lower Multnomah Channel today out of Scappoose and the temperature was 48 degrees. I wish it would clear up so I can try some of my Lucky Craft suspending lures.
