The Steelhead King
In the thread regarding Flotilla II ifish's elite member Parker decided to let everyone here at ifish know that we are not good enough for him to fish with. Here is the exact quote copied from that thread:
"Well, I was planning on being there, but that was before ifish scared away all the good fishermen.
If they decide to go, I will follow.
Parker"
Well Mr. Parker, now that you have insulted the entire ifish community. Do you really think you would be welcome on this trip. Of course, you could always ride in my boat. Just you and me bud.
I think maybe you would be much better off (and stay much healthier) if you just stuck to fishing with all of those "Good fisherman" that got scared away.

Re: The Steelhead King
Tanner,
I replied to the Floatilla II thread with an apology on Parker's behalf. I understand that you were offended by Parker's comment, but please understant that it was not directed at you, or any of the other great fisherman here at Ifish. It all boils down to frustrations coming out with RT's moderator status removed as he was our friend and we admire him greatly. Please understand that we as friends will always stick together, I consider many of the people on Ifish here as "friends" even w/o ever meeting them, but I do fish with a lot of Wahsingtontonians that are members here and are also not
Tanner, we have already addressed the fact that Parker is upset and I believe that his reply was not directed as an insult, but as part of a frustration due to the recent turmoil here.
Parker does a tremendous amount of work to help preserve and protect native steelhead and salmon. Please do not judge him because of comments made while he is upset. I am upset as well, Tanner, but I choose not to voice some of my feelings as I find that it is better to forgive and forget.
We are all human, we all get mad, we all have "drama", we all make mistakes.
I would like to hereby apologize to any and all Ifish members that were insulted by Parker's comments.
On another note, Tanner, in spite of Parker's stupid comment, you have no right to threaten the health of anybody, even if they did upset you in some way or another. Two wrongs don't make a right and although I am considered by many to be a friendly and easy going guy, however, I do not appreciate people threatening my friends because of insults made to their fishing ability. I know that you are a good fisherman, Tanner, I enjoy reading you informative posts. Why let somebody get to you that bad? If you are confident in your own fishing abilities, then be just that....confident. Like I said, I have apologized, but I don't want to see any more drama unfolding, it's cutting into all of our fishing time
Peace and FISH ON!!!
Justin

Re: The Steelhead King
Yeah, sorry bro, but that was uncool. For both parties, and Parker was venting and we feel his pain. I didn't get scared away. I just haven't seen anything to post towards besides this. Since we can't joke or talk about the stock market anymore, I feel this is going to be a quiet place. Besides, it looks like RT found a home on Angie's site I try not to apologize for anyone but myself, and I know Parker was just venting so let's not have to throw dem thangs. Tanner, you can fish in my boat, just you and me bud LOL LOL that was classic. Looks like I'm going to be Miss Daisy's (Osprey) limo driver on Saturday down a river. Yessum missum daisy.
Now Tanner, one more peep out of you and I will go pee on your frame...muh ha ha ha j/k Fish on dude, and everyone else, don't get your panties in a bunch, we are family.

Re: The Steelhead King
Sorry, but you all have it very wrong.
I'm not an elitist, not mad, not venting, not any of the things listed below.
Really, it was just a mistake. I honestly forgot to add in a whinkey and smiley face emotican to my post.
My reply was meant to be sarcastic, humorous (ok, so that failed), and not any of things you all mentioned below.
I apoligize for my reply. Even being sarcastic, it was not necessary, especially in the current over-heated atmosphere of this board.
Parker

Parker, I thought that there was a sarcastic tone to it since I know you so well, but I'm glad you cleared this up.

Re: The Steelhead King
Dudes,
You all have good points and I must say that was pretty out of character for me. It just seemed like a slam to all of us here at ifish
and I'm starting to become kind of protective of all my new friends here. We all say out of line things that we regret at one time or another. I guess it was my turn. I probably should have just let Parker know that I was offended and left it at that.
I just get really cranked up by fishing snobs (not saying you are one Parker but your post kind of came off that way) anyway, Sorry man, lets move on.
Peace Out,
Tanner
Oh, by the way hey_Yall. Please don't pee on my frame.

"Come on people now..smile on your brother, now. Everybody get together;Gotta love one another right now"
Nice reasoning process guys. I'm proud of you. I really miss RT, too. But he is a very competent, wise and able man. I don't think he really needs us as his backup/loyalty posse.
Part of being a man is making decisions, finding your friends and your comfort level, choosing your path and taking action. My cyber friend, RT, is very capable of doing these things without us, and with pride.

Tanner:
You and I know that Cameron is the true "Steelhead King". Anybody that passes up the opportunity to fish with him on the Flotilla is making a mistake.
I miss fishing with that little guy. Spring is comming. Ann and I always planned on having you guys over, we are waiting for warmer weather so we can be outside.

Re: The Steelhead King
OK Parker, you can be called the Steelhead Queen ... ah, I mean King . And everyone, please let the other issue go though. ... As for you 'Yall, don't be posting 'past the expiration date spam' like "RT's found a home on Angie's site" . I like Angie's sight (as opposed to site). If I do anything other than post to various fishing sites it would likely be on Bob's site.

Re: The Steelhead King
You'd think so, but it just bounced off of my thick skull and flew away to LaLa Land.
As previously posted, I've been called a lot *worse*!
The "Steelhead Queen" would make a great name for a sled, or drift boat, though.
"Hail to the King!"
