Congrats! That is wonderful!
I wish I wish I wish I were catching a fish right now!
I am so buried in this computer transfer stuff I don't think I'll ever fish again!

Re: Just_learning Bags his first fish!
JL,
I've had a few fevers in my life time but that fish fever has got to be the best feeling one I've ever had. Way to go, keep after them. Waterloo is a real nice place to fish, I've been there many times. Also, you still interested in some springers on the Sandy this season?

Re: Just_learning Bags his first fish!
Assuming that fish was a fresh summer i'll bet it was 10 to 12#'s at that length. I wouldn't get too excited about springers at Waterloo for at least another month although i'm sure a few fish will be caught... Joe

Re: Just_learning Bags his first fish!
Congrats JL,
Waterloo can be very productive. When the springers get here drop me a line and I will try to hook up with you and show a trick or 2. Im only about 10 minutes from Waterloo.
Oh yea......dont get stuck fishing just at Waterloo. There are plenty of fish up river also. Break it up a little it will help you learn a little faster.
Try this next time your out. use a # 12 rainbow corkie a #1 hook a little hot pink yarn and tip that with a sandshrimp. Thats a killer on the South early in the year.
