Default Monofilament Madness........

How long does it take for monofilament to break down. I now include a shopping bag with my fishing trips to pick up garbage and fishing line. But the amount of mono aut there is astounding. Did some idiots pull all the line off their reels and just leave it there? Jeez.
Anyone know how long this stuff takes to decompose? I am very curious..........

Thanks...

I don't think it ever decomposes, does it?
I can't believe some people, and if you go down to Lorens Drift or to the Kilchis Bridge after Chinook season, you see alot of it there. It's strange, because at that time there are so many people there.
Seems like someone would get after them???
I think it is there to stay unless we pick it up.

I think it has the same shelf life as a twinkie. ....about 100 years

Not sure how long it lasts. I think it will decompose eventually, but we'll probably all be gone by then.
