Default clip and release hatchery fish

Here is an article from the Tillamook weekly newspaper. Anybody want to clip some fins?? here is your chance.

Fin-clip party slated at Whiskey Creek

More than 125,000 healthy spring chinook smolts will be hosting their annual fin clipping party at Whiskey Creek Fish Hatchery on April 14.
The public is invited to join in and bring a friend. Demonstrations of how the clipping is done will be provided, so experience is not necessary.
Those helping are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, as even though the hatchery is under cover, it can be cool and damp.
The clipping begins at 8 a.m. and goes until the task is finished, which is estimated to be between 2-3 p.m. There will be a break about noon for lunch, which is provided by sponsoring local merchants.
For more information call Jerry Dove at 842-6519 or Jim Woods at 842-5395.

I've done this in the past and it's a lot of fun. You can come for the whole day or drop by for a couple of hours. Bring your kids. It's something a 7 year old can do.

Make sure you bring some waterproof shoes and your rain pants if you plan on staying. Usually ends around 2 or 3 in the PM.
