Wanted to drive a few cars yesterday while out running errands...here is the summary of the experience:
1) Mazda (owned by Ford) RX-8.... FUN little car. Very similar in fun-ness that my old RX-7 had from years ago. Back seat space is surprising. An adult wouldnt be comfortable back there if the driver is around 6'0, but you would fit ok. Sad part is, I walked on the lot, went in the building to sit in one they had inside....then walked outside to look at some, walked all around.... no one even said hello till I made an issue of it. VERY disappointing. Great little car....but I would worry about a steep depreciation curve.
2) Infinity G35 Coupe. Brute force, great ride, very comfortable car. I loved this car. Walked on the lot and was immediately greeted, no pressure to buy, etc. Great experience....great car....but a bit spendy, even used. D'oh.
3) Ford Mustang GT.... who knows. No one would come talk to me. Walked in the building and nothing, stood by the vehicles (all locked), and nothing. Sat out there for around 10 minutes in the rain and finally gave up. Between such solid sales performance as this and their $3,000 "market interest markup", I wont return there (I know, I know....Doherty....but I was out running errands and not in F.G.). Sadly, I still dont know what the new Stang drives like andd whether or not the backseats are even remotely functional (doesnt look like it). Ford posted their biggest loss in corporate history, and dealerships are still trying to screw people for $3,000 for "market interest". Good luck fellas!
If we decide on a 3rd child, I'll be posting test drive reviews of sport sedans. D'oh.
