Default Northriver jet boats 2

My 21' Ranger is in the surgeons office. According to Mike at NR. my pump (3 stage Marine Power)has the same problem that a current Ifisher has with his. My impellars were riding up against the stators. The stators were gouged up real bad, on the center hubs. It looks as though the pump internals were placed too far forward at the manufacturer. Everything should be under warranty, according to Mike (Clackamas location)So far NR. has stood behind their product line! I have no complaints except I don't have a boat for a week or two.

SLEDDER, while N.R. has you pump apart it would be a good time to see if the impellers need to be replaced. Depending on when the pump was built Marine Power had a casting problem and they will break under severe use. The other thing is Marine Power said they were comming out with some improved Impellers. I don't know all the stats. but you could save some $ by having them installed now. You could also have all the extra casting material cleaned out of the stator housings. It is sort of like porting a head in a car. Hope this helps.

I plan on buying one next spring. I have had people e-mail me used boat prices for a sled for $13,000 to $17,000. And there not even North Rivers. Forget that! I can buy a new North River 19' Delta Vee w/Merc 115 for $17,000. Now that's a score

It has been awhile, I have been meaning to post the results of the repair on my pump. I ended up paying for cutlass bearings Northriver worked it out with Marine Power to cover the rest of the bill. I admitted to sucking up rocks, it was obvious anyway, so the cutlas bearings were my bill. The guys at NR. put up with me harassing them and they did a very good job on the repair. It runs like new. Thanks Mike, Joe and ? (Maint. man) All I need know is a boat with a Hamilton, so I am not limited by weight in boat. Maybe next year!!? Im very close to ordering a North River myself. Does anyone here have the NR custom trailor? Ive heard bad things about EZ Loader trailors and am unsure if I want to pay the extra $$$ for the custom NR.

I have a 19ft North River Delta Vee on a EZ loader trailer and it works great. I've never had any problems with any of it. I'm only selling in the classifieds because I ordered a bigger boat. tmeisner@qbsi.com

Fish, I have one of the custom NR trailers. Pulls like a dream! I think that it actually sits lower to the ground as well. If you have a choice, and I'm sure you do, opt for the tandem axle.

I highly recommend the NR. trailers. The side bunkers are basically the wheel wheel much stiffer than the extension that the EZ trailer has. The extension flexes too much. If you have a side current going across your trailer, the flex in the side bunker will, I guarantee it, pi$$ you off. Tha aluminum trailer is lighter, tows very nice, and doesn't corrode like the galvanized trailers will eventually do. Any questions on NR. trailers e-mail me.

i have a new tandem ez-loader with the factory lowering kit, it works great and with the torsion bar suspension it tows like a dream, i dont have the factory "junk" guide ons i have custom ones. just make sure your tounge weight is set good as in any trailer. bearing and brakes when needed are availible at any good marine store. just my 2 cents.
