Default Eagle Creek Cleptos

Yesterday after a wonderful day of fishing Eagle Creek I was coming back to my car (parked below the hatchery) and found that some low life had smashed the window out of the car I'm borrowing from Rippenlips and had stolen my spare rod (G-1000 salmon moocher) and my pants. Who would want my pants? there probablly arent 100 people in all of Portland that are lanky enough to wear my pants. The window in the other car in the parking lot was broken also. The really funny thing is that the drivers side door was unlocked the whole time. Clackamas county sherriff's say there's been a rash going on up there so proceed at your own risk.

Oh well, went 2 for 3 on the creek, had to cover a lot of ground to get them.

Also some other low life (possibly the same one) had killed a hen stripped her of her eggs and thrown her back in the water. If I ever catch anyone performing either of the above two mentioned activities, I may have a hard time controlling myself.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The guys who do this don't understand the danger they are putting themselves in. I'd love to turn on the news and see a would-be theif turned into an example for the rest.

Thats too bad. I know a few years back the sheriffs were running a sting in the one o'clock area by leaving tackle gear and waders left on the rocks to make it seem like someone forgot all of there stuff. In turn people were getting busted for trying to rip off the stuff. I live out where I don't even see my neighbors and still lock my car doors. I guess you can say the Valley has taught me well.

Take care

Ramstrong, I have fish Eagle Creek for 30 +/- years..bin hit a time or two...lost my fathers best steelhead rod / reel,,,if I ever see it on the river, no questions asked the guy gets a lead pill in the butt. Were you parked on Rainbow rd.? Didn't know there was access to the river down there? Would like to bust up a few of these car clouters, make them think twice before they do it again...
