Default Lets hear some reports!

Enough with the drama. Lets get down to buisness. I want reports of the weekends efforts. Heck even a good lie or two will work.

This coming tuesday I get the pleasure of introducing someone to steelhead fishing. This guy Im going to take own the North Santiam has never picked up a rod in his life. If the fish gods are nice I may create a steelheader. Wish me luck

Our nephew introduced this clueless newbie to the world of steelhead fishing 2 weekends ago - skunked first time out. Oh well. Last weekend we again fished the lower Santiam below the trestle. We hooked 5, landed 4 and put 2 in the sack.

The problem: I'm getting close to retirement, and I wanna buy some gear!

By the way, Cop Car Tadpollies and metallic red Wiggle Warts!

John (hope this posts OK - first time posting)

Good luck

O.C. sucks!!! I wish I could tell you all the things we used to not catch fish but that would be giving away everyone's seceret.

Thanks for the welcome hookset. I've been lurking and reading for quite a while. It's nice to finally be able to give something back.

Fished the channel Sat. The catching was not red hot, we saw only 8 landed. Managed to adorn one 20lb non-clipper with a pair of new gami 4/0 lip piercings A good friend got two at 1st light on Sun. Seems like plenty of pressure, should be more catching though.

We went 4 for 5 today. Willie buck nailed a nice summer. He also C&Red a small nate, Both those were in the 5 oclock hole. I hooked and lost a summer there. I got a 10 to 11 lb wild hen the School bus hole side drifting eggs Then I got a hawg in the main on a hotshot . He was in the 14 to 15 lb range.
All in all it was good day, except for the wind and rain

Well Willierower sounds like you did well considering how quick you guy's bailed when the rain started! We went 3 for 6, all nates.I told you Benny would bring them to the boat as always he comes through again. He got 2 out of 4, one looked to be a summer, the other didn't let us take a peek, not to bad for a ten year old, can't wait till he can row my fat butt down the river some. Thanks for the report see ya Wednesday

I dont think I could catch anything with a $100 bill in the red light district right now
