No crab on Sat do we left the pots out all night. I added a little tuna belly to the chicken bait. When checked in the morning 8 nice males. Re baited with only tuna belly and soaked 2 more hours and 28 more. Found what hey wanted. All were firm full crabs. Fished them in 75 feet north of jetty tops about 2 miles straight off the hotel north of Georgies'

I've heard all about how chicken is the best bait for crab. You can keep it. I'll continue to use tuna It's extremely effective all year long. Rockfish is a close second.

Good job.

Good for you! We did an 6-8 hour soak and got 4 limits. Very few hard ones though. I wonder if it's because I crab in deeper water.

I crabbed out of Garibaldi. Only got a 2 hour soak in 60ft of water, as the kids were not feeling it... It was my fathers day trip with my 5 and 8 year old. They were troopers as it wasn't quite as nice as predicted. But we got 27 keepers. Most were legal to 6 1/4". Most were full and hard. a ton of females. It was nice to have loaded pots!

Shad and salmon heads. 3 Danielson pots.
