Re: Kim Family Tragedy
First of all I'm not saying that the Kim family didn't make a few bad decisions but that website make a lot of assumptions. Who is the creator of this site?
I just thing it's horrible to say things like.
" In any case, we want to emphasize that the following is a speculation about what might have happened. We are not presenting it as a definitive or factual account." Which all can be found here [not here, thanks]
and then go on to put words into the Kim family’s mouth like
" “We’ll be lucky to be there by 1 a.m.,” we can imagine her saying.
“Damn it, James, we can't do this,” she says, as snow falls hard along their route. “Let's just turn around and stop for the night along I-5. “
“The hell we will,” James Kim replies. “We've prepaid $250 for the room. Not only that, but we've got to drive to Mendocino tomorrow and that one’s a real pain. 101 and Hwy. 1 twist and turn like crazy, and you go 15 miles an hour along a lot of it. Let’s just do this and get there.” "
what a joke

Re: Kim Family Tragedy
Well, personally, I thought it was an informative site, and very interesting reading. It helps to clear up some of the confusion that was caused by the media and their sometimes innaccurate reporting. For one thing I didn't realize that the helicopter pilot who actually found the Kim family and the car, was not a pilot that was hired by Spencer Kim (father of James Kim,) as the media had said. Another interesting fact is that the helicopter search that was planned by the National Guard was delayed due to Spencer Kim hiring a private company to do the search, and therefore a good opportunity was lost, as the weather conditions were ideal, and it was the same day the Kims burned their car's tires, hoping that the smoke would be seen by searchers. Anyway, I enjoyed reading about how it all happened, and what went wrong. I guess I don't see why some feel it's wrong to read about it, talk about it, or even think about it.
I'll post the "timeline" here, as I don't think it will offend anyone. It is simply the facts of the case, with no speculation.

Re: Kim Family Tragedy
In the past we have stated that we, the management of Ifish, find it disrespectful to rehash and speculate on the human tragedy of an untimely death. This stance has not changed, so this thread is being locked. If you would like to disrespect the memory of Mr. Kim, please do it elsewhere.
