Not to beat this to death but I got the certificate back on the banded snow goose from January.

It says it was banded at:

Red Flag River, Russia

I'm not sure if that is on Wrangel Island. I didn't have any luck Googling it.

It was banded on August 2, 1989 as an ADULT.

So it says hatched 1988 or EARLIER.

So at least 19 years old.

Just cool. For a goose guy anyway.

If anyone knows where Red Flag River Russia is, I'd appreciate the info.

I was able to find one reference to the Red Flag River that indicated it was on Wrangel Island.
