Daylight savings time upped 3 weeks!
I just got an e-mail from our corporate folks here at work that daylight savings time has gained 1 month.
Here is the info I got.
In August 2005 the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which changes the dates of daylight-saving time (DST). Starting in 2007, daylight-saving time will be in effect for four additional weeks, beginning three weeks earlier and ending one week later than previous years.
Previously DST started on: First Sunday of April
With the new law, DST will start on: Second Sunday of March
Previously DST ended on: Last Sunday of October
With the new law, DST will end on: First Sunday of November
The start
Would have been: April 1, 2007
Will now be: March 11, 2007
The end
Would have been: Oct. 28, 2007
Will now be: Nov. 4, 2007
I am jazzed I love the days staying light longer. Springers

John, you don't even know what a springer is other than it's first name must be jerry.
But I agree. More time to fish and watch John be frustrated. Hex, hex, hex............................

Re: Daylight savings time upped 3 weeks!
I never did understand dst. There is still 24 hrs in a day and the same amount of daylight in that 24hr time frame. But if it means I have to wake my kids up earlyer for school I love it.
I love rousting them up.

I just wish they'd leave it alone.

I just wish they would leave it on DST year round and be done with it.

Well looks like I just lost an hour of Blacktail hunting before work for another week.

Re: Daylight savings time upped 3 weeks!
It will be interresting to see how this effects the clock on your computer. Believe it will be thrown off by the new DST times and dates.
Good Luck;

Re: Daylight savings time upped 3 weeks!
According to what we were told the computers will make the change automatically as before. But how do they know? Probably some secret squirrel stuff only the IT dudes know.
