Default Bottomline Tournament Master or Lowrance X15

While I am waiting for my boat to be delivered I need to buy a fish finder.
I have been looking at the tournament Master HR and the Lowrance X15. I like the options of down rigger control/side finder/3 transducers but know nothing about how reliable they are. The X15 is also and impressive system with 8000 Watt Peak power and 3000ft depth capability. Any reader own either of these systems?

I have a 6500 Bottom line with 3 transducers and 5 beams. Also have Mag 20 riggers that talk to the sonar unit. They bottom track and jig at intervals and work very well. Also has GPS and with C-map for the area you are in it is like looking at a cruising atlas on your screen. I think it is a great system and it is very good at finding fish....especially Sturgeon. Have had no problems with it. They are close to here for support....Meridian...by Boise Idaho if you need them.
Happy to answere any questions.

Bill

Geeez Bill, now I know why you bought a 22 footer. All you have to do is bait the hook, let out line and reel'm in. Wish I still had the money I lost last week, I'd buy me some new toys.

I have a Bottomline Tournament Pro SF that came with my boat. I have two transducers and I love the thing. It's an older model but I can still mark sturgeon with it. I was thinking of getting a new Lorance X-85, but I had to go back to the old theroy "IF IT AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!! I have had it now for 6 years and it is kept outside in the weather on the boat and it still is working like it did when I picked up the boat.

Hi,I just bought a bottomline master at the sportsman show, had a heck of a time decideing between the x-15 and the bottomline
master hr.I bought the bottomline after going back and forth about a dozen times and trying them.I thought the bottom line was much easier to operate the #'s are a lot bigger also the large screen is really nice.
$600.00 is a lot of money to me and I wanted something I could do alot with you can do everything with the bottomline that a person could want at least all I want.

I have lost some confidence in Lowrance products. I have a 350-A that has been sent back three times in three years due to moisture getting in the unit. Each time they have sent me a new unit fairly quickly but any exposure to moisture/rain seems to penetrate the units.
