Default Monday afternoons.....

I'm headed out the door to meet my brother down at his hatchery. Gonna get some casts into the Chehalis to see what I can get...also see if any illegal netting is going on.

Betcha wish Mondays were always this fun....
Jeffhead, I got your email so we'll call beforehand to know when the best time to drop the fish off will be. mmm mmm good.

Didn't you have a cast on your arm? Maybe you just whittled a little do-hickey in the side to put the reel handle in?

Sorry boater, I almost let this slip off the page. I don't fish it too much because where I fish it, the nets like to fish it too As far as springers, I don't think it gets many, if any, that I'm aware of because of the nets. The nets are going back in, and they may be in by the time this reply is typed out. I got one hit, and that was the only one for the day. Either there was a bunch of steelies breaking water, or some big trout jumping. Cutties??? I don't know if that were cutties jumping that I saw. You pretty much heard the splash, saw a tail, and there was the wake. I don't fish the Chehalis that much just because of the nets. I do fish it when I can, but not as a primary river for the day.
