Sandy river report
Well I made my first trip on the Sandy for springers/steelies of this year yesterday 3/17, from Dabne down to Lewis and Clark. It rained all day (yea) and the water was perfect, maybe a little low but nice color. Unfortunately I only had about 6 hours to spend and probably would have done better if I had more time to consentrate on my favorite spots a little more. I did'nt get anything, saw one real nice native (about 15-18lbs) taken and released by a bankee and one other native taken and released for a client in a guide freinds boat. All in all, I had a wonderful day in the rain and I am overly excited to get going on the springers in the Sandy. Oh yeh, tons of people dipping for smelt all the way down from Dabne to clear past I84, only problem, no smelt.....they're gone.

PS - Coot22, was that you in the willows hole in Ryan's boat? I was the guy right ahead of you in the blue Fishrite DB. If so, did you guys get into any fish yesterday?
