Fishing Civil Engineer
I have tried hard to remain incognito on this board for a long time. But....I have noticed that a few civil engineers are posting on this board. Now it seems that I am in need of an engineer that knows his stuff who would like to live where the fishing is only minutes away. My guarantees...you won't get rich, you won't be famous (unless fame is limited to Tillamook and Clatsop Counties) but you will get to do everything an engineer should do.
You have to be able to live in a small town. You have to be able to handle the coastal rain.
You have to be able to entertain yourself without McDonald's, Hollywood Video, GI Joes, Etc....
You have to have a sense of humor. (Also a drift boat would help)
If you are interested...email me at
mht@hlbinc.com
I will be at a conference out of state for several days so won't be able to respond immediately.

Re: Fishing Civil Engineer
Hey nice cast, One Last. When you and I debated politics and other subjects I had the impression that you were a man. Fine, didn't matter. Then I read a post the other day that refered to One Last Cast as a 'she'. And now you are interested in an engineer that knows 'his' stuff. So, you are a she. Probably. Cool! Hmmm. Would I have been softer on you in our debates if I had known that? Maybe, but I don't know why because it shouldn't matter. Right? BTW, you forgot to mention that you live on riverfront property? And your wit has been obvious in many posts. You have much going for you; especially in the eyes of fishermen. There are a lot of fine guys on ifish! I know of some single ones. Just don't respond to any of them that ask you to post your picture, regardless of how good looking you are. They are shallow type guys! Take care. - RT

Re: Fishing Civil Engineer
Hey Onelastcast,
A long time ago,1994 I think, I interviewed with your firm. I was fresh out of school and would have killed to live on the coast! If I was still single I'd go in a minute.
I probably shouldn't tell tell you that I was on the interview panel when one of your employees applied for a position in the metro area about 10 months ago. He took my place. Small world huh?
Good luck in your search.

Re: Fishing Civil Engineer
OLC, so HLB is hiring again! I too interviewed with HLB back in 1997 but I was not sure where I was heading at the time. I wish I could talk my wife into moving up there, I have a DB, working on getting a JB, and lived in Eureka for 10 years (rains almost as much!). I fit the description well !
Oh well, thanks for the teaser , I have a few loose ends to tie up here before I move on. I will be registered by this time next year maybe I can check you out in the near distant future!
Good luck with the hunt!

Re: Fishing Civil Engineer
I was a little worried when I came back from the conference and saw that RT clarified my posting. Since then I have received two offers of marriage and three requests of pictures of me naked in a boat. I just doctored up some of RT's photos and sent them on. Since the posting I have quit my job and applied for HustlerJims .
Steelheadman and blast and cast check your email. JJiggin, I wasn't sure if you were Jivin. And Hey_Yall we are currently trying to write up a job description that would suit you..maybe something in public affairs.
