I thought they would hunt fawns, but not older deer like this.

I have seen some very large Bobcat. I saw one stalking a cow elk. They could easily take down a whitetail doe. Especially with the help of Photoshop!

Adult Female Bobcats will typically wieght 20 lbs. Males will Wieght up to
Thirty pounds. If a Bobcat is hungry enough, who knows
Could a Bobcat take on a deer Twice or three times it's own weight ?

If a 150 pound cougar can take down an 800 pound elk, them I'm sure a 30 pound Bobby could take a whitetail doe. Make sense to me.

My friend Steve killed a 37 lb. bobcat. That was probably a small yearling around 60 or 70 lbs, and if the cat was half its size, I would think it is possible. A 90 lb cougar can take down an adult deer weighing twice or more its size, so I see no reason a bobcat half a deers size can't do the same That is just my

Re: Amazing TrailCam Photos! - A Bobcat taking down a Deer!!
Cats can drag seven times their weight!!!! Big cats can do 0-40 MPH in 10'. Think of the Lions of Tsavo, ( Read Peter Capstick Hathaway's version NOT the movie version). Those lions were jumping 15-30' fences of wait-a-bit thorns with a human in their mouth....Have you seen leopards jump up trees with impalla in their mouths? Cats are DANG IT strong! Bobbies tend to like birds, but in a pinch I'd bet $$$ to doughnuts a big bob could wax a medium to smallish deer.
