Default Salty Dogs on the Radio

Dean Fleck asked me to do a short radio spot with him on the Salty Dogs and the upcoming Convention for a fishing show that is down in the Coos Bay area. They want a little history of the Dogs and how the Convention came to be.

It went really well. Thanks to Dean for the invite and thinking of us. Big Thanks went out to Jennie for providing ifish. The guys doing the show were really nice and pretty up on current events. They were really impressed at what the Convention has become. They liked the fact that comraderie and safety were the original premises of the first event and still are a big part of it. Also fact that it has now grown to include barotrauma, fisheries issues, gear demos, tradeshow and safety equipment seemed very progressive and a good thing for the sportfishers to become involved in. Got a mention in for OCEAN putting on the event and thanked them for the oppurtunity.

What a big change from a few guys dragging their tackle boxes to the Coast and taking over a few tables at the Rogue in the Winter to talk Tuna.

Thanks. We hope you folks have a great show there. With all the talks and things on safety issue at sea it should be an excellent show for all, especially you tuna guys that travel way off shore.
