There's a couple things to check out. You can get a reading of the potential of your connection at: http://www.dslreports.com/stest
Also, if you are in a Windows environment, you can get a real time, continuous reading by installing Network Monitor: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows95/d...etworkMonitor/

Remember, not only can you run fast, but you can be attacked fast, too. Think about a firewall.

I have had cable for a few months now and check my speed often. I was initially getting 1500K and than I tweaked my registry. Now I don't see anything under 3400K. Dial up can kiss it!
